BIBITEC in the Biotechnology Centre

One of the most important construction projects on Nordmark's site is called 'BIBITEC'.

Currently, an area of the existing biotechnology centre is being expanded for Bielefeld's cell culture specialists. While BIBITEC's offices and R&D will remain on the premises of Bielefeld University new space is currently being created in the biotechnology centre for their production facilities. The spatial expansions are also accompanied by a qualitative upgrade that is geared towards GMP production standards.

Managing Director Prof. Dr. Dirk Lütkemeyer is pleased: 'The state-of-the-art production areas that we are renting here create the necessary space and freedom of movement for our equipment and also for our employees. At the same time, we can benefit from services such as Nordmark's experience in microbial hygiene monitoring. In many areas, both companies will be able to pool their know-how even more easily in the future.'

Dr. Jörg Stute, BIBITEC's Head of Project Management, adds another advantage: 'Especially in view of the many contacts and enquiries we generate at our leading trade fairs such as BIO Europe and BIO USA it is a crucial success factor to be able to offer potential customers capacities for pilot trials quickly and flexibly. Here, we will take a decisive step forward in terms of our response times in the new premises.'
