DPC 2024 – 43rd Annual Meeting of the German Pancreas Club (15 – 17 February in Bonn, Germany)

Three awardees of the Werner-Creutzfeldt Scholarship donated by Nordmark presented their funded research projects on 16 February.
The following three interesting topics were presented:
- Dynamics of intestinal and intratumoral microbiome signatures in genetically engineered mice and human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma – Dr. Christoph Ammer-Herrmenau, Göttingen in behalf of Nina Pfisterer
- Microbiome dysbiosis with Enterococcus presence in the upper gastrointestinal tract is a risk factor for mortality in patients undergoing surgery for pancreatic cancer – Iris Beirith, Munich
- Nerves as Mediators of Immune Suppression in Cancer – Kaan Cifcibasi, Munich

German Biotechnology Days (28 – 29 March in Wiesbaden, Germany)
The German biotechnology industry met again on 28 and 29 March 2023. Nordmark Biotech was once again be represented with a stand.
With its countless innovative application possibilities, biotechnology holds immense potential and is accordingly booming unabated worldwide. Every year, the German Biotechnology Days, or DBT for short, provide a national platform for important exchanges between companies, science, politics and funding institutions. This year's hosts of the German Biotechnology Days were the technology state of Hesse and Infectognostics Research Campus Jena. Since 2010, the organisers of the DBT have been the industry association of the German biotechnology industry, BIO Deutschland e. V., and the Working Group of German BioRegions.
